Meet Our Staff
Belinda is our Practice Manager; she had previously been with Russell Dentistry for 22 years. She comes from a medical background as a Medical Assistant and furthered her skills and education in Business Administration and Accounting.
On a day to day basis Belinda manages our daily operations and human resources as well as overseeing the TMJ/Sleep Apnea medical aspect of our practice. She is passionate about the success of our practice and takes pride in the team’s dedication to providing the quality of care our community deserves.
Belinda enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and going on new adventures. She has two sons and four grandchildren; she loves spending time with family and absolutely loves doting on her grandbabies.
Alyssa joined the team in April of 2006 as a dental assistant. She became the front desk manager in July 2011. She serves as the liason between the many insurance companies and the patient. She is diligent about billing the insurance companies in a timely manner, following up on claims when necessary, and answering all patient questions and concerns.
Alyssa lives in Rochester, WA, with her husband and four children. She enjoys camping, spending time with her family and friends, and supporting her children in their various sports and other activities throughout the year.
Allison comes to us with twenty years of experience in dentistry. After graduating from the Dental Assisting Technology program at South Puget Sound Community College in 1998, she worked as a dental assistant before moving to the administrative team as a patient coordinator. Allison loves being a part of the team at Russell and Bode Family Dentistry where she oversees the schedule for the doctors and hygienists.
Outside of the office Allison enjoys raising her 16 year-old daughter and hiking the Pacific Northwest. She is crazy about traveling the world, running, and loves a good wine tasting event. You may run into her downtown shopping for the perfect new vintage-inspired fashion or a quirky antique for her home
Patient Care Coordinator
Jennifer obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in Dental Assisting from South Puget Sound Community College. Jennifer has over fifteen years of experience in the medical/dental/legal fields. After years of assisting the dentists in a variety of tasks with patients, Jennifer has become the patient care coordinator of the office and the administrator of our dental sleep medicine portion of the practice. She is responsible for marketing, scheduling, records management, medical billing and reception services. Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding in hot-rods, kickboxing and crafting. Jennifer prides herself in always making the patient feel right at home and makes sure they leave with a smile. “The most enjoyable thing about my job is that I enjoy making people love their smile.”
Judy has been working as a dental assistant for Russell Family Dentistry for over 30 years, originally starting with Dr. Russell Sr. In 2009; Judy went back to school to get her Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary license. This license allows her to place fillings and take final impressions for Dr Russell. She really enjoys doing restorative care on the patients and finds it very rewarding. Outside the office Judy has three grown girls and two grandchildren whom she spends a lot of time with. Judy also enjoys reading, golf and spending time with her family.

Sonya completed the Dental Assisting program in 2005 and immediately began her career at Dr. Bode’s office. In addition to assisting, Sonya manages the inventory and marketing of the practice.
She was born and raised in Olympia and also has a CNA and Medical Assisting Degree. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sonya prides herself on her ability to comfort the most dental-phobic patients and help alleviate all their dental stress. “I can fulfill my dream of helping people and pursue a profession that I am very proud to work in.”
Katie joined the Russell and Bode team in 2015. She is dedicated to quality patient care and excellence in dentistry. She enjoys being outdoors, going on hikes, and spending time with friends and family
Hannah has been a dental assistant for 15 years. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but her favorite thing about it is taking care of her patients ! ” Coming to work everyday , it doesn’t feel like work , it’s not something I feel I have to do but rather something I get to do!”
Jainee graduated from South Puget Sound Community College with her Associates in Applied Science and Dental Assisting Degree. She enjoys being a part of a practice that gives back to the community, provides excellent service and where she can continue to learn in the dental field. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities like camping in the summer and spending time with her fiancé, family and dog, Nala.
Walter is a hygienist of nearly thirteen years, graduating from the University of Alaska. Walt has been with the practice for twelve years. Walter’s years of experience and personable way make you feel at ease. He will take time to expain procedures and treatment so you can make a decision about your dental health based on knowledge and trust.
Walter is a family man, with his wife Pam and their four children. He is also a first time grandparent. His two youngest are still in elementary school. Walter and his family strive to spend time yearly with their extended family, which is not always an easy task, since everyone is spread around the country. Walter enjoys cooking, camping, hiking, and spending time on the Oregon Coast in the summer. Walter looks forward to meeting you and providing the best care possible with a personal and gentle touch.
Pam is gentle and knowledgeable. She strives to educate her patients about their oral health and how their oral health relates to their overall wellness. She has been a hygienist for twelve years, joining Dr. Bode’s practice six years ago. This University of Alaska graduate is excited to have the opportunity to meet you and provide a personalized and caring visit.
Pam has three children. Two are still in elementary school while the oldest has blessed her family with a beautiful granddaughter. She and her family enjoy spending time together as much as possible. Summer is packed full of camping trips, most of which are spent on the Oregon Coast. She loves doing crafts and spends time weekly at her children’s school volunteering. Come meet Pam, she will truly make your experience at our practice an easy one.
Sarah has been in dentistry for the past 15 years. She graduated from a Dental Assisting Program in 1999 realizing her desire to help patients and her love for dentistry. She then went on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist with a B. S. degree in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University in 2007. She joined Dr. Russell’s practice in June of 2013 and has quickly become a part of their dental family. She is dedicated to helping improve her patient’s oral health while educating them on how it relates to their overall health and well being.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her family. She has two young boys that keep her really busy. They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and anything outdoors when the weather permits. When the weather isn’t as cooperative she loves eating good food with friends and family, playing games and puzzles with her kids, and reading almost anything. She looks forward to a long career as a dental hygienist. She prides herself on her ability to make patients feel comfortable in the dental setting and alleviate their dental fears.
As a registered dental hygienist, Joey loves providing holistic care to her patients. She also encourages overall health to promote the well-being of the whole body. Joey strives to provide the best dental care possible for her patients. Comfort, patient satisfaction, and patient education are her primary concerns. She is relationship-oriented and values creating connections with her patients on a personal level. She has a passion for caring for the less-privileged. She has served at the Seattle-King County free clinic as well as Pierce County’s Homeless Connect. Joey will begin serving the local community here in Olympia through the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.
In her free-time Joey enjoys spending time with her husband. They have ten nieces and nephews and are closely involved in each of their lives. She loves to travel, see new places, meet new people, and spend her time active in the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, with Mt. Rainier being her favorite hiking destination. Joey also enjoys kayaking, golfing, fishing, and reading. She looks forward to a long career in dental hygiene, getting to know her patients and creating lasting relationships.
Shannon has worked as a hygienist for over 10 years and looks forward to a long and rewarding career for many more years to come. She began her journey into the dental field at Clark College in Vancouver and has practiced in both Montana and Washington State. She enjoys building trusted relationships with her patients by providing optimal care and education tailored to each individual. Patients say that her calm demeanor and easy going attitude puts them at ease and helps to make their appointments pleasant experiences.
Shannon loves to spend her free time with her husband, young daughter and their many fur babies. They also enjoy camping adventures, boating and family game nights. On the rare occasion you might find her out on her own, you would likely find her out to lunch or at Target!
Tara graduated from Pima Medical Institute and obtained her dental hygiene license in 2014. She was born and raised in Bremerton and after meeting her husband, decided to make Tumwater their home. She is thrilled to work with the amazing people of this awesome town. She whole-heartedly enjoys every aspect of working in the dental field! As her career and education expands she has found the importance of treating each individual patient as a whole and addressing overall systemic health. She has found a home at Dr. Russell and Bode’s office with like-minded teammates treating some pretty awesome patients! When she is not at work, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and our two rescue dogs, Penny and Tex!
Tracey has been in practicing dentistry for the past 9 years, graduating from Eastern Washington University with her B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She continued on to receiving her M.S. in Health Education in to further her passion and commitment to overall health. This passion and commitment lead her to become involved in the Seattle King County Clinic, where she is part of the dental leadership team to provide care for the community.
Tracey enjoys building rapport and relationships with her patients to provide oral health care in a friendly, inviting and safe environment. She says that the best part of her job is to bring a smile and confidence to someone’s life, even if for one day. She is excited to continue to work with all of our patients to provide specifically designed care to achieve and maintain ultimate oral health care.
When Tracey is not at work, she is spending time with her family. Being from Olympia, she has several family members in the area and enjoys attending all events from her nieces’ sporting competitions to celebrating birthdays and graduations. She also enjoys taking her dog, Tucker for walks and taking in the breath-taking scenery the Northwest has to offer.
