Meet Our Staff
Belinda is our Office Manager; she has been with Russell Dentistry for 22 years. She comes from a medical background as a Medical Assistant and then furthered her skills and education in Business Administration and Accounting.
On a day to day basis Belinda oversees our daily operations, human resource issues, technology, practice management software, and marketing of the practice. Belinda has also gotten involved with the Dental Sleep Medicine aspect of our clinic; she does our medical billing. She is passionate about the success of our practice and takes pride in the team’s dedication to providing the quality of care our community deserves.
Belinda has two sons and enjoys spending time with them and their wives. She enjoys boating, snow skiing, baking, traveling, and golf.
Alyssa joined the team in April of 2006 as a dental assistant. She became the front desk manager in July 2011. She serves as the liason between the many insurance companies and the patient. She is diligent about billing the insurance companies in a timely manner, following up on claims when necessary, and answering all patient questions and concerns.
Alyssa lives in Rochester, WA, with her husband and four children. She enjoys camping, spending time with her family and friends, and supporting her children in their various sports and other activities throughout the year.
Kami has worked in the dental field for over 10 years, and joined the Russell Family Dentistry Team in 2013 as the Scheduling Coordinator. She and her husband live in Olympia and have 2 kids. In their free time, they love to travel, spend time with family, and cheer on the Seahawks. Go Hawks!
Patient Care Coordinator
Jennifer obtained her Associate of Arts Degree and a certificate in Dental Assisting from South Puget Sound Community College. The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and varied in the dental office. Jennifer has over fifteen years of experience in the medical/dental/legal fields. After years of assisting the dentists in a variety of tasks with patients, Jennifer has become the patient care coordinator of the practice. She is responsible for marketing, scheduling, records management and reception services. She is also responsible for occupational safety (WISHA) and the CariFree program. CariFree is a system of products that reduces the risk of cavities. Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, hotrods, kickboxing and crafting. Jennifer prides herself in always making the patient feel right at home and makes sure they leave with a smile. “The most enjoyable thing about my job is that I enjoy making people love their smile.”
Patient Service Representative
Lauren is a new addition to our front office staff! She has worked in the dental field since 2007 and is excited to bring her knowledge to the team. She and her husband live in Olympia and have a dog, three cats, and six chickens. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her husband and younger brother, writing, and traveling.
Judy has been working as a dental assistant for Russell Family Dentistry for over 30 years, originally starting with Dr. Russell Sr. In 2009; Judy went back to school to get her Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary license. This license allows her to place fillings and take final impressions for Dr Russell. She really enjoys doing restorative care on the patients and finds it very rewarding. Outside the office Judy has three grown girls and two grandchildren whom she spends a lot of time with. Judy also enjoys reading, golf and spending time with her family.
Sonya completed the Dental Assisting program in 2005 and immediately began her career at Dr. Bode‘s office. In addition to assisting, Sonya manages the inventory and marketing of the practice.
She was born and raised in Olympia and also has a CNA and Medical Assisting Degree. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sonya prides herself on her ability to comfort the most dental-phobic patients and help alleviate all their dental stress. “I can fulfill my dream of helping people and pursue a profession that I am very proud to work in.”
Amanda graduated from the SPSCC Dental Assisting Program in 2011. She is the newest team member at Russell and Bode Family Dentistry. As a CDA, she is dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients. She enjoys helping patients reach their dental goals to assist in enhancing their overall health.
Amanda lives in Graham wit her husband and three little girls. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, gardening, making candles, going on camping trips, and watching football.
Katie joined the Russell and Bode team in 2015. She is dedicated to quality patient care and excellence in dentistry. She enjoys being outdoors, going on hikes, and spending time with friends and family
Kelsey and her husband just moved to Washington from Maryland. She graduated from Dental Assistant Training School in 2012. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients, making them feel at ease, and developing a trusting relationship with them. She enjoys painting, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring what Washington has to offer with our crazy dog, Loki.
Tina has been in the dental field for 25 years. Always interested in a health-related career Tina started in dentistry as a dental assistant. Realizing her joy in helping others though the dental profession, she furthered her education and became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Tina has now been in the dental hygiene field for over 17 years. She finds the most important aspect of her job is educating patients not only on dental care, but maintaining overall health. Tina is quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust and friendships with each patient. Tina feels at home with the Russell and Bode Family Dentistry team atmosphere and their shared goal of caring for patients.
Tina leads an active Northwest lifestyle and enjoys all types of physical recreation and outdoor activities including running, biking, hiking, skiing and weight training. Most of all, she loves spending time with her three daughters who bring her great joy and keep her very busy.
Walter is a hygienist of nearly thirteen years, graduating from the University of Alaska. Walt has been with the practice for twelve years. Walter’s years of experience and personable way make you feel at ease. He will take time to expain procedures and treatment so you can make a decision about your dental health based on knowledge and trust.
Walter is a family man, with his wife Pam and their four children. He is also a first time grandparent. His two youngest are still in elementary school. Walter and his family strive to spend time yearly with their extended family, which is not always an easy task, since everyone is spread around the country. Walter enjoys cooking, camping, hiking, and spending time on the Oregon Coast in the summer. Walter looks forward to meeting you and providing the best care possible with a personal and gentle touch.
Pam is gentle and knowledgeable. She strives to educate her patients about their oral health and how their oral health relates to their overall wellness. She has been a hygienist for twelve years, joining Dr. Bode‘s practice six years ago. This University of Alaska graduate is excited to have the opportunity to meet you and provide a personalized and caring visit.
Pam has three children. Two are still in elementary school while the oldest has blessed her family with a beautiful granddaughter. She and her family enjoy spending time together as much as possible. Summer is packed full of camping trips, most of which are spent on the Oregon Coast. She loves doing crafts and spends time weekly at her children’s school volunteering. Come meet Pam, she will truly make your experience at our practice an easy one.
Sarah has been in dentistry for the past 15 years. She graduated from a Dental Assisting Program in 1999 realizing her desire to help patients and her love for dentistry. She then went on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist with a B. S. degree in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University in 2007. She joined Dr. Russell’s practice in June of 2013 and has quickly become a part of their dental family. She is dedicated to helping improve her patient’s oral health while educating them on how it relates to their overall health and well being.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her family. She has two young boys that keep her really busy. They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and anything outdoors when the weather permits. When the weather isn’t as cooperative she loves eating good food with friends and family, playing games and puzzles with her kids, and reading almost anything. She looks forward to a long career as a dental hygienist. She prides herself on her ability to make patients feel comfortable in the dental setting and alleviate their dental fears.
Hailey is a hygienist and is a new addition to our dental staff. She graduated from Clark College’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2011. Prior to that, Hailey was a certified dental assistant, graduating from South Puget Sound’s program in 2007. Hailey is very focused on patient care; she loves educating patients, and strives to make sure every patient has the best experience possible.
Hailey is getting married this August. She, and her fiancé, Ryan, live close to their families and are fortunate enough to spend time with them several times a week. Together, they have three nieces and three nephews from ages eighteen months to seven years, and consider themselves extremely blessed to be so closely involved in their lives. In her free time, Hailey enjoys salmon and steelhead fishing. She also enjoys traveling, especially somewhere tropical, and also enjoys road trips exploring the Pacific Northwest. Hailey looks forward to getting to know you, and ensuring you have a good experience at your dental appointment.
As a registered dental hygienist, Joey loves providing holistic care to her patients. She also encourages overall health to promote the well-being of the whole body. Joey strives to provide the best dental care possible for her patients. Comfort, patient satisfaction, and patient education are her primary concerns. She is relationship-oriented and values creating connections with her patients on a personal level. She has a passion for caring for the less-privileged. She has served at the Seattle-King County free clinic as well as Pierce County’s Homeless Connect. Joey will begin serving the local community here in Olympia through the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.
In her free-time Joey enjoys spending time with her husband. They have ten nieces and nephews and are closely involved in each of their lives. She loves to travel, see new places, meet new people, and spend her time active in the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, with Mt. Rainier being her favorite hiking destination. Joey also enjoys kayaking, golfing, fishing, and reading. She looks forward to a long career in dental hygiene, getting to know her patients and creating lasting relationships.
